When Women Heal,
Communities Thrive
Every restored life strengthens a home, a neighborhood, and the future of our cities.
Why Reentry Support Matters
Each year, more than 600,000 people return home from incarceration across the U.S. Without stable housing, employment, or emotional support, many face overwhelming odds, and up to 2 in 3 are rearrested within three years.¹
But with early intervention, mentorship, and a path to purpose, women can, and do, rebuild. And when they do, they don’t do it alone. They uplift their children, stabilize their neighborhoods, and reconnect the systems that often failed them.
This isn’t just individual progress. It's generational change.

Their Stories
Every number is a name. Every program is a promise — that healing is possible, and dignity is non-negotiable.
“The mentoring program, and in particular, Ms. Yvonne Garlin, have been indispensable in helping me find the strength to face a future I never should have imagined. Not only is Ms. Garlin assisting me in locating a safe place to live, she and her team have uplifted and encouraged me to continue to find and follow God’s plan for my life. With their encouragement, I have begun to believe that I will once again be able to make a positive difference in the world.”

“Yvonne Garlin and Doors of Hope Community were the open door to let me know that I am more than in the past. They represented value to being able to brush off a seemingly dire situation in dignity. Freedom is knowing that someone is lifting you up when you’re at your lowest. It was a breath of fresh air. That was eleven and a half years ago. It wasn’t easy getting back into the workforce, yet I did, in the Power of Faith… Love is everything and I believe it was that spark that Doors of Hope Community brought to me.”
