Patrica Maina

Patrice Maina is dedicated to providing supportive counseling that helps individuals rebuild, develop resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth. With over 15 years of clinical mental health experience, she brings a deep passion for advocacy, cultural competency, and empowering individuals to establish goals and create opportunities for successful community reintegration.
Throughout her career, Patrice has supported individuals in developing treatment goals and stabilizing care within inpatient hospitalization ,correctional facilities, and community-based therapeutic settings. She currently serves as an Admissions Coordinator at Meadowview Hospital and as an independent in-home counselor with Practical Therapy Network.
Patrice is committed to creating safe, therapeutic environments and encourages transformation. Through individualized treatment planning and rehabilitative group interventions, she supports individuals in strengthening coping skills, improving problem-solving, increasing independence, enhancing reality-based decision-making, and preparing for successful community reintegration.
She holds a New Jersey state licensure in counseling, a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Board for Certified Counselors.
In addition to her professional work, Patrice is an active volunteer and supporter within community and church-based organizations, and organizations with a focus on mental health advocacy, girls’ empowerment and mentoring, and serving underserved and diverse populations. Outside of her work, she values her faith, family, support system , community connection, and loves to explore.
