Bridging the Reentry Gap
P.O.W.E.R.S. ensures women released early aren’t left behind by providing advocacy and support for early-release reentry.

What P.O.W.E.R.S. Does
True to its namesake, P.O.W.E.R.S. (Providing Opportunities Within the Early Release Structure) was created to provide opportunities within the early release structure.

This task force brings together reentry providers, faith-based organizations, justice advocates, and public systems to create rapid, coordinated support for women navigating early release.

When women are released under state or federal early-release mandates, systems often aren’t ready. Transitional housing isn’t secured. Services aren’t notified. And no one is waiting at the gate.

We advocate for and help implement:

-
Immediate housing placements upon release
-
Fast-tracked case management and counseling

Policy change centered on trauma-informed, gender-responsive care
Who It's For

Women released early under state mandates

Community partners seeking to better support women in transition
-
Policymakers, service providers, and funders focused on justice reform
A Call to Justice Partners and Leaders
P.O.W.E.R.S. bridges the gap between early release and long-term support — and we’re looking for partners who believe in a more just, humane, and effective reentry model.
Are you a justice partner, policymaker, or program lead? Do you work in housing, corrections, community care, or reentry planning?
Let’s build stronger reintegration pathways, together.

Because early release shouldn’t mean being left behind. It should mean being lifted up.
